Polygon Labs announced on October 29, 2026, that its Open Money Stack now supports Solana. The update lets businesses process stablecoin payments from bank deposits through on-chain balances to bank withdrawals with one API.

Features Added Through the Solana Integration

The Open Money Stack accepts deposits via bank transfer, card, cash or crypto. Funds convert between fiat and crypto on Solana, then move into custodial or embedded wallets. Programmable orchestration routes USDC, USDT, PYUSD, SOL and wrapped SOL across Solana, Polygon, Ethereum, TRON and other EVM chains. Payouts reach bank accounts, cards, cash points or external wallets.

The Solana connection uses Polygon Trails routing, which has handled Solana-EVM transfers since August 2026. It follows TRON support added earlier in October. Businesses can select the full stack or individual components and pair them with their existing tools.

Regulatory Foundation and Transaction Volumes

Polygon acquired Coinme on October 14, 2026, securing 37 state money transmitter licenses and coverage across 48 U.S. states. The deal also brought FinCEN MSB registration for regulated fiat on-ramps and off-ramps.

Solana recorded between $5 trillion and $5.35 trillion in stablecoin transfer volume through late October 2026, with one report citing $5.76 trillion. The chain processed 557 million stablecoin transfers in September alone. Polygon’s cumulative stablecoin volume exceeds $3 trillion.

Early Users and Planned Expansion

Cross-border payments firm Kira became an early adopter. It converts incoming stablecoin transfers into USD for supplier settlements through the unified interface.

Polygon plans to extend the Open Money Stack to additional blockchains. Solana remains the settlement layer while the platform manages banking connections, wallets and routing logic. The modular design allows continued use of third-party components alongside Polygon tools.
